What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

What we believe

The following are the core beliefs of Epic Church at Linwood based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD

We believe the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God. It is relevant for our world today and gives us the spiritual direction we need to live a life that is pleasing to God. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16

JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived and walked this earth as fully man, yet fully God. He was crucified for the sins of all humanity, buried, and on the third day He rose from the grave! Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN

We live in a culture that believes there are many ways to God. At Epic Church, we believe there is only one way and His name is Jesus! We believe that all are born into sin and the only way to God is through accepting the grace that only Jesus gives. Every person can be forgiven and born again. “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” Matthew 16:25

BELIEVERS CAN AND SHOULD BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

At Epic Church, we believe the Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity. We believe that through the power of the Holy Spirit we can live a life that empowers the believer to live a life that is focused on Jesus. The Holy Spirit is our guide, comfort and strength. We believe that our lives can be filled with the Holy Spirit and this is evidenced by fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit found in scripture. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
